Stage
The stage floor is sprung, level, constructed of tongue and groove Maple, and painted black. The proscenium arch is 58-feet wide and 42-feet to the back wall. The stage width wall to wall is 110-feet. The orchestra pit adds an additional 28-feet of depth at center when at stage level and can hold up to 80 musicians when used as a pit. The stage can has a full orchestra shell with lighting, or house soft goods and lighting instruments can be used for a traditional proscenium theater set up. There are 47 line sets and a full over stage rigging grid.
Gonzales Hall Seating
The total seating capacity is 2,256 salable seats in a continental seating style:
The Orchestra Level has 1107 floor mounted seats including 80 on the orchestra lift. There are also wheelchair sections that seat 8 on both sides of the orchestra level for a total of 16 additional accessible seats. The Grand Tier level has 844 seats. The Balcony level has 289 seats.
Backstage Support Spaces
On the Stage Level there are two Star dressing rooms, eight other dressing rooms, a Green Room, wardrobe room and laundry room.
On the Lower Level there are two Chorus dressing rooms, two Musicians dressing rooms and the trap room under the stage which can be used for catering, rehearsal or storage space.
Public Spaces
Receptions and meetings can be held on three levels of the Koger Center:
The Donor Room on the Grand Tier can accommodate 70 guests at a sit down meal or meeting, and 125 guests at a stand up reception. We can also seat 90 guests in a theatre style setting.
Our large Lobby space on the orchestra level is often used for receptions or exhibit space and we have many tables and chairs available in house for these purposes. We can also host receptions on the Grand Tier Lobby Crosswalk or meals with up to 16 banquet tables for seating.
The Large Rehearsal Room can accommodate 150 guests for a sit down meal, 225 at a stand up reception, and 300 guests can be accommodated in a theatre style setting.
The Small Rehearsal Room can accommodate 45 guests at a stand up event, 25 guests at a sit down event and 60 guests in a theatre style setting.
