Pulling Back the Curtain
The Koger Center for the Arts believes in the importance of accessible, high-quality arts education for students of all ages. We have created a series of “Behind the Scenes” videos and educational supplements to enrich their understanding of the process involved in mounting performing and visual art shows and to acquaint them with some of the career opportunities available in the arts. Each video below focuses on a different artistic discipline featured at the Koger Center: Drama, Visual Art, Ballet, and Orchestra. The link in the title of each video takes you to a PDF of the accompanying education supplement complete with activities and lessons aimed at grades K-5.
For a closer look at the arts center we call home, we offer backstage tours of our facility for groups of all ages. To schedule a tour, please contact Karen Magradey at (803) 777-9781. If an in-person visit is not possible, we invite you to take our video backstage tour.
