The USC Symphonic Winds concludes their season with a powerful and reflective concert as we come full circle. Award-winning composer Viet Cuong joins the ensemble for an afternoon of his music and works by Scott McAllister and Grace Baugher. McAllister’s Death and Transfigurations shares a view of humanity and Baugher’s Mirage takes us on a trip around a false reality. Each piece of Viet Cuong immerses the audience into a wonderous world of wind and percussion timbres unlike any other. The impactful concert closer, John and Jim, will leave you wanting more music from its amazing composer as we reflect on wonderful concert season.
