YOUR BRAIN ON ART

Studies show that holiday traditions, including music, can have profound benefits on the brain. Familiar holiday tunes can activate the brain’s memory centers, sparking nostalgia and strengthening emotional connections (Janata, 2009). Additionally, research suggests that the joy and social bonding experienced during holiday gatherings boost dopamine and oxytocin levels, reducing stress and enhancing overall well-being (Dunbar, 2012).
